The Dean's Student Advisory Committee (DSAC) is the liaison of engineering students at UIUC to the College of Engineering, and particularly to the College's Deans. By surveying the student body, analyzing the results, and presenting those results to the deans in person, we aim to facilitate communication between students and the college over issues that concern the student body.

DSAC has a very unique role on this campus. The Engineering Council is primarily an umbrella organization that provides support and networking opportunities to member societies. In addition, the Engineering Council also coordinates many programs for the students of the College of Engineering each year. However, the only way that the Engineering Council represents a student government is through DSAC. This makes DSAC an essential, vital part of the College of Engineering as the only real link between students and the College of Engineering administration.
