iFoundry & DSAC Curriculum Town Hall
Tuesday, Nov. 18, 6:30-7:30 p.m., 1320 DCL
Interested in creating change in engineering curriculum at Illinois? The Dean's Student Advisory Committee (DSAC) and iFoundry, the Illinois Foundry for Innovation in Engineering Education, are hosting a Town Hall meeting to discuss the new direction of engineering education and gather feedback from student experience in the classroom. Come enjoy free food, help DSAC and iFoundry shape the way engineering curriculum changes at Illinois, and learn about ways to get involved in the change process from DSAC committee members and iFoundry leadership. The Town Hall is open to all engineering students, so bring your friends, student groups, and study groups, and show the College that students support these efforts. For more information, contact Drew Griffiths, DSAC Director, dgriffi2@illinois.edu, or visit the iFoundry Website

The Dean's Student Advisory Committee (DSAC) is the liaison of engineering students at UIUC to the College of Engineering, and particularly to the College's Deans. By surveying the student body, analyzing the results, and presenting those results to the deans in person, we aim to facilitate communication between students and the college over issues that concern the student body.

DSAC has a very unique role on this campus. The Engineering Council is primarily an umbrella organization that provides support and networking opportunities to member societies. In addition, the Engineering Council also coordinates many programs for the students of the College of Engineering each year. However, the only way that the Engineering Council represents a student government is through DSAC. This makes DSAC an essential, vital part of the College of Engineering as the only real link between students and the College of Engineering administration.
